About PyrCanna
Welcome to PyrCanna — we’re glad you’re here.
PyrCanna delivers science-based cannabis education that helps you understand your own physiology and make confident, informed health decisions. Our approach bridges the gap between medicine and the cannabis plant, giving you the tools to recognize how cannabinoids, terpenes, and strain profiles interact with your body so you can choose what best supports your goals.
Our focus is on you, not the hype.
We cut through marketing noise and misinformation to give you practical, research-grounded knowledge you can apply right away. By understanding your own endocannabinoid system and its relationship to other body systems, you’ll be better equipped to select cannabis products and complementary therapies with intention. (On Substack, you’ll find articles that go deeper into these topics, with real-world examples and case-based learning.)
Why PyrCanna exists.
Founded by Jill Christine, BSN, PyrCanna combines formal education with decades of lived experience in women’s health, traumatic brain injury, chronic illness, and plant-based therapeutics. Jill’s background spans a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Michigan, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Duquesne University, and years of independent study in psychology, neurobiology, women’s health and cannabinoid sciences. Her central belief is that knowing your own body is the foundation for building a sustainable, effective approach to wellness.

More Than Meets The Eye
PyrCanna is more than a cannabis education platform — it’s the gateway to an interconnected body of work on human adaptation, brain reorganization, and whole-system health.
It’s where science meets lived experience, and where our sister platforms, EPIPHA and tbi.Living, intersect with cannabis education.
The Core Mission
Our focus is on the endocannabinoid system (ECS) — understanding how it interacts with the brain and body, and how cannabinoids and terpenes can be used to support adaptation, healing, and resilience.
We equip individuals, caregivers, and clinicians with the knowledge to navigate beyond marketing hype, apply evidence-based strategies, and respect the complexity of the ECS in real life.
The Connected Ecosystem
PyrCanna is one part of a larger framework:
-
EPIPHA — Explores neurologic reorganization across the lifespan, with deep dives into pattern recognition, hormonal transitions, and integrated science.
-
tbi.Living — Dedicated to the realities of living with a constantly evolving brain injury over a lifetime, blending clinical insight with survivor experience.
-
PyrCanna Field Notes — Where cannabis education intersects with these two worlds, offering practical, real-world application of ECS science.
The Approach
Our approach is pattern-based, precision-focused, and deeply human.
Every course, article, and collaboration comes from a place of:
-
Scientific rigor
-
Real-world context
-
Respect for the lived experience
